The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee is, without a doubt, the supreme tip of the Cherokee lineup. The supremacy of the Trackhawk lies in the supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 found in the Hellcat which produces 707 horsepower. Enough said!
Let’s get down to the figures. The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will accelerate from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and hit the quarter mile in just 11.6 seconds. Top speed is an incredible 180 mph. Yes, those numbers aren’t miss-prints. This easily puts the Jeep among some of the fastest SUV ever produced.
The engine is the same Hellcat supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8. The 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque are fed through an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Trackhawk also gets a slew of modifications to be able to handle all of that power. A set of 15.75-inch front Brembo brakes and 13.78-inch rears allow the suv to stop in just 114 feet from 60 mph. The ride height has been reduced 1-inch and 20-inch wheels shod in Pirelli PZero tires help put all that power to the ground.
The exterior gets some notable changes as well. Body-colored wheel well flares, a vented hood, quad exhaust tips, and numerous badges immediately tip off Cherokee fans. Additionally, the front fog lamps are gone to allow air to enter the engine compartment for additional cooling.
The Trackhawk is one of the most menacing machines ever created by Jeep. Trackhawk pricing has not yet been released, but the model is expected to hit showrooms in the fourth quarter of 2017. We’ll keep you posted.
